ArtPrize App Reviews

After the latest app update I can no longer use my Facebook credentials to login or create an account. I just get the error: "Invalid user credentials" and since Im already logged into Facebook in my browser I know its valid. Broken login = completely useless app.

Just a couple of things would make this a great app and more useful when visiting Artprize. 1-make a way to mark venues youve visited/art youve seen 2-allow access to lists youve created 3-a live/interactive map that could help with navigation around Artprize

The new ArtPrize app looks great, but it runs slow (if at all) and has too many additions which only seem to make things worse. The older versions were not as pretty, but were sooooo much more accessible and user friendly. This app should have the three necessities for ArtPrize: Art, Venues and Voting. The new stuff should be optional. The saying in art is "Less is more". I think it definitely applies here. Sorry.

App wont accept my email and password. Wont kt me register email (because it exists from prior year) and has no way to reset or recover the password. Im locked out of the app.

:( walked around downtown today and app kept freezing. When got to registration screen said I needed to be in the geographic area (was around the BOB and Arena) or got error messages. Please fix soon so I can vote.

Way too slow! Freezes whenever I try to scroll and then freezes my phone, not just the app! Looks like ill just use the website. Very disappointing.

We attended Art Prize yesterday and were unable to get this app to download. Tried it numerous on WiFi and on 3G and no such luck. It just sits and spins. Was able to download another app just fine so not a performance issue with my phone. Disappointed because we werent able to vote. (Need App to verify via GPS that you were in the voting district.)

This app freezes every time I use it. Just worthless.

I couldnt vote while at art prize because it would load. Waited until I got home, re-downloaded the app, now I cant vote because Im not in the "art prize area"?!?!? Thats a bit ridiculous, how did people vote before the app? ON THEIR HOME COMPUTER, and most of us dont live in the "art prize area." Also freezes at the search bar and wont let you type. Why would you change a perfectly good working app for this horribly dysfunctional app??? You would think a year of building off the old app would have made it better. Come On Art Prize people, we expect better!!!!

Hard to decide whats worse the ap or the website. Our hope was to plan our day in GR using the ap as it looks like you can do that, but after 45 frustrating minutes we gave up - figuring wed just walk around and ask people where to go. The few times it didnt immediately lock up it just takes you in circles, providing no help. It would be great if you could get rankings of places to go or tips on things to see based on what you like. Instead the best we could find (when it didnt freeze) is a list of every single venue in town, which is really useless if you dont know grand rapids. When the map did work, you cant click on anything anyway-whats the point? Luckily there are people stationed all over downtown more than willing to help, maybe next year this will work.

It freezes constantly if I try to switch tabs. If I open the voting tab it will work okay but if I try to switch tabs it freezes. Not user friendly at all.

Last year it worked great and was very easy to use. Now, it crashes every time I try to do anything. I havent been able use it a single time without it freezing. Very disappointed.

I cant search or vote or anything else with it.

I love that you decided to create an ArtPrize app this year. After many years of visiting, the app has been helpful in finding venues and knowing what artists are where. However, as it is impossible to visit all locations in a day it would be nice to be able to "check off" the places we have visited so that we know where else we still have to go upon a return visit. Also, having a "favorite" button on the app so we could remember what art we loved, liked, or didnt care for would be nice. Lastly, you should have each exhibit have a QR code so that we can vote at the exhibit via code. This would save time for the voters and save a lot of wasted paper that you see floating around the streets because of the "cards/flyers" the artists hand out.

Every time I used it, it froze up. I eventually just said bag it and deleted the app. I guess I dont get to vote this year.

This app is decent for showing the venues and the names but not much else. It froze up a half dozen times in an hour today. Now I cant edit my lists from the app and I cant sign in online via FB. I wish there was some way to check off what youve seen as well.

Third year going to ArtPrize and this is the first version weve had trouble with. Virtually useless

This app freezes, is poorly thought out, and just plain bad. I dont know who wrote this app, (and I dont really care) but perhaps they should seek a different career. I would suggest professional tennis

Slow. Very slow. Still havent been able to use it to register because it wont recognize when Im in the downtown voting area. My wife had the issue that it wouldnt let her vote because voting hadnt started yet even though it began 10 days previous. This is a good example of a developer trying to add too much into an app without enough beta testing.
